Low Acid Coffee versus Weaver's Coffee

By Albert on December 19, 2011 8:08 PM

I bought some of this low-acid coffee recently, based upon the positive reviews it received:

I’m not crazy about it though. It is indeed low-acid; I can drink it black with ease. Problem is that I miss the bitterness of strong coffee, which I can indeed drink black as well, but also enjoy it with cream and sugar. Even without cream and sugar, the Puroast Low-Acid Coffee is without a hard felt kick, and I miss that more than I’d expected.

So I’m trying with Amazon again, this time with Weaver’s, which is bit more expensive, but has even more positive reviews.

It should get here within a week or so, and once I’ve had a chance to try it out, I’ll update this post.

UPDATE: Indeed - this Weaver’s coffe is amazing - and chock full o’ caffeine!

Archer Farms Coffee

This coffee was delicious! And because it was coming from Target’s Archer Farms brand, the price was great.

K Cups: Newman's Special Blend - Extra Bold

By Albert on January 23, 2011 5:01 PM

My office has a couple of Keurig coffee makers, so I’ve decided to purchase some “K-cups” coffee from Amazon:

  • Newman’s Special Blend - Extra Bold
  • Green Mountain Coffee, Fair Trade Colombian Select

For about $26, I would get 48 cups of quality, convenient coffee. Not bad! Only problem is the amount of waste these things create… I hope that they are recyclable.

Mayorga Coffee

Mayorga Coffee is served at the Baltimore-Washington International airport (BWI).

I was there yesterday and bought a cup of Mayorga Coffee, and it was very good actually: hot, strong, and fresh.

I would have preferred “Sugar in the Raw”, though.

I Think Starbucks Has the Most Caffeine

By Albert on October 3, 2010 10:19 PM

I've convinced myself that Starbucks coffee has more caffeine than any other coffee. Do you agree?

If its true, I wonder how they get more caffeine in there? Is it the roasting? Do you think they simply add more caffeine manually?
